On-Boarding Training Co-ordinator

Reporting to: Head of Training & Development

Location: Henley-on-Thames

Salary:  £20,000 – £24,000

Promotion route:  On-boarding Co-ordinator / Manager


Overview of the Role

To assist the Head of Training & Development with their plans in building a training ‘centre of excellence’ by undertaking all administration and organisation relating to software training course delivery. 

The ideal candidate is highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple client workloads.  Ideally you will be able to evidence your ability / experience in organisation whether has taken place at work or during education.  You need to be detail focused, able to follow process, with strong documentation skills and an aptitude towards flexibility as client requirements can differ and no two are the same.

The role sits as part of the software on-boarding function, the aim of which is managing implementation projects.  Moving forward there is scope to build out the role to include co-ordination of all elements relating to the on-boarding process.

Key Activities:

  • Co-ordinating all training events

  • Advising trainers of which courses require delivery & when, providing the agenda and any other documentation that may be required.

  • Supporting trainers who manage their own clients

  • Documenting all bookings both provisional and confirmed

  • Managing multiple diaries; trainer and client

  • Working with trainers to capture and own, or escalate, client requirements as appropriate

  • Collating all training session feedback developing a ‘lessons learnt’ approach and feeding back to the Head of Training & Development

  • Aiding the building of the company knowledge base in relation to product software & training information

  • Attend weekly meetings to provide the Head of Training & Development with status updates

  • Any other duties deemed appropriate by the Head of Training & Development

Personal Attributes:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills

  • A desire to aid the Head of Training & Development in the building of a ‘training centre of excellence’

  • Ability to learn and follow new processes feeding back areas for improvement

  • Able to co-ordinate activities and provide feedback clearly, concisely and consistently

  • Capable of understanding the commercial benefits quality training brings to a software project implementation

  • Personable, friendly and comfortable to work in the presence of various levels of seniority within a client’s business

  • Ability to listen to client requirements, translate them and generate documentation

Key Competencies:

  • Strong organisational skills, able to provide co-ordination services

  • Experience of using a variety of business software

  • Good communication skills

  • Previous training co-ordination experience would be a considerable advantage but is not essential

Other Candidate Requirements:

  • Ideally based within commuting distance of Henley-on-Thames and Reading areas

  • References essential
