Business Development Manager

Overview of the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our small but growing team and contribute towards the future growth and success of our brand.

You will play a key part in developing new business across the F&B market targeting well-known restaurants, food chains and pub groups, acting as a trusted brand ambassador throughout the entire pitch process. You will need to have strong solution sales acumen twinned with excellent entrepreneurial and closing skills, with the ability to form and nurture relationships at all levels.

Key Activities:

  • Help to deliver the strategic direction of Kitchen CUT, creating new relationships and developing new business

  • Responsible for developing direct sales to the Food Service sector particularly targeting restaurants, hotels, pubs & bars and caterers across the UK

  • Follow up business leads and identify new sales opportunities

  • Set up some client meetings to demonstrate software solutions portfolio (although the majority of leads will come via our lead generation team)

  • Promote the organisation’s products /services, identifying potential cross selling opportunities

  • Generate monthly sales reports

  • Be a target driven team player with strong communication and relationship building skills

Desired Candidate Experience:

  • UK based, with willingness to travel

  • Commercial software sales experience or similar. Hospitality experience is an advantage

  • Strong FMCG, grocery or F&B sales experience

  • Proven track record building relationships and delivering new business

  • Persuasive communicator with the ability to identify and build long-term relationships

  • Commercial acumen

  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills

  • Analytical and numerate

  • Strong organisational skills with ability to manage and achieve sales independently and proactively

  • Understanding the complexity of multi-site operations and have the ability to determine the most appropriate software solution for clients

Part-time telesales / telemarketers wanted


  • Make outgoing warm and cold calls to:
    • set up appointments for director to visit / deliver webinar
    • follow up free trials, gather feedback
    • steer towards online, self-service options
  • Answer basic questions about product and pricing
  • Accurately and efficiently enter customer information into database for mailing and billing purposes
  • Maintain call list in database
  • Contact customers in response to correspondence or feedback
  • Maintain working knowledge of products and services sold (full training will be given)
