Location: Henley-on-Thames/Reading

 

Overview of the Role

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for supporting the Marketing and Sales teams through lead generation.  This includes qualification of all inbound and outbound leads via the phone, web, email, company events and direct mail campaigns.  The BDR is also responsible for proactive lead generation through strategic marketing campaigns. The BDR will report directly to his / her Line Manager. 

Key Activities:

  • Proactively call into accounts on targeted lists by utilising and maintaining the Company database.  Qualify inbound and outbound leads.
  • Participate in the first stages of the sales cycle by building relationships with key decision makers at targeted accounts, identifying project needs and business issues and conducting a needs analysis.
  • Overcome objections and effectively communicate Kitchen CUT’s value propositions to key decision makers regarding appropriate Kitchen CUT product offerings.
  • Transfer well qualified leads to appropriate BDM for follow-up and formal sales presentation.
  • Maintain strong relationship with sales team through clear communication and follow-up.
  • Maintain up to date and extensive knowledge on all Kitchen CUT product offerings through participation in product demonstrations, meetings and marketing materials.
  • Stay current on industry trends and maintain extensive knowledge of competitors’ product offerings.
  • Achieve quarterly lead generation goals set by your Line Manager
  • Achieve monthly lead generation targets set by your Line Manager
  • Actively participate in the innovation of new techniques and strategies for securing new accounts.
  • Operates under supervision with frequent reviews of work.
  • Generating opportunities by providing product information and determining the requirements/pains of prospects
  • Researching and identifying potential accounts, building rapport within accounts

Desired Candidate Experience: 

Education, Experience & Training required:

  • 1+ years’ experience with customer service, inbound and outbound telesales, business development activities. Hospitality experience is a plus..

Job Specific Specialised Knowledge & Skills:

  • Must have excellent listening skills 
  • Must be enthusiastic, outgoing, and have high energy.
  • Must be motivated by cold calling, asking probing questions and gathering information.
  • Must be a team player with strong initiative, excellent PC skills and ability to quickly build extensive knowledge of Kitchen CUT’s product offerings and that of competitors.
  • Have a genuine interest or passion for all things Food
